| The cemetery was dedicated by the VA on May 12, 2000 and burial operations began May 15. The 638 acre cemetery will provide about 300,000 burial spaces. As of June 2005, there have been over 11,000 interments. The cemetery is located at 2000 Mountain Creek Parkway, Dallas, TX 75211. Phase I of construction developed 110 acres which included 12,000 gravesites,
2,000 lawn crypts and 2,200 columbaria and garden niches for cremated
remains. An additional Columbaria will be constructed in late 2005.. See the DFW National Cemetery Plot Map for location. Also; five additional burial sections are in the works with double depth grave liners. This will provide 5,000 more burial spaces. We now have artists' renderings of the Memorial to share.
